Important Pre- and Post-treatment Things to Know
It is highly recommended to avoid tanning and sun exposure for 2-4 weeks before and after each treatment as this can impact the overall outcome, resulting in hyperpigmentation. Unfortunately, we cannot treat tanned skin as the laser targets the skin differently which can lead to unfavorable results. Wearing daily moisturizer with sunscreen containing zinc or titanium and an SPF of at least 35 before and after the procedure is highly encouraged. It is also recommended to discontinue exfoliating products like Tretinoin (Retin A) 1 week before and after treatment to ensure your skin is not too sensitive for the procedure.
